Around the world and across Canada, Christians gather on Christmas to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. This is a time when families, friends, and colleagues come together to celebrate the spirit of the season. Christmas is an opportunity for giving as well as receiving.

This year, St. Peter’s Christmas community outreach is to our Christian refugee family from Syria. Our hope is to make the new family’s first Canadian Christmas especially memorable. There will be a sign-up sheet for gifts/donations posted this Sunday. If you prefer to make a cash contribution for any items we may need to purchase, please make the cheque out to St. Peter’s Anglican Church and clearly note that it is for Christmas outreach. Regular donations to the refugee committee will not go to this project. However, both types of gifts will receive tax receipts.
