Thank you to all those who participated in the work of the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) as they donated for the Christmas cards as they helped spread the work of PWRDF!  The cards were beautiful and quickly sold. Thanks to Jan Haylow for assisting in the sales when I was called away. In the words of the PWRDF staff: “Thank You for Building a Truly Just, Healthy and Peaceful World!”

Public Witness to Social and Ecological Justice (PWSEJ)

Several of us from across Canada met by teleconference this month [Dec 2017] and one of the items discussed was the new terms of reference for the CREATION MATTER’S Working Group (sub-group of PWSEJ) as they seek ways to bring to life the 5th Mark of Mission – “To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth” - an area that needs the attention of us all – not just a national group. One of the greatest concerns from General Synod 2016 was “Human Trafficking and modern day Slavery,” which is being addressed but there needs to be more awareness of this growing concern. “Peace” is always a concern in our stressed world.
