Dear friends,

The diocesan office has sent out warnings about email scams recently.  The scams seem to be from clergy.  They say something about needing a favour from you.  If you reply to one of these you will be asked to purchase gift cards or enter in to some other financial transaction. 

Please know that no leader in the church, no bishop, priest, or deacon will ever ask you to do such a thing.  The emails often look quite legitimate, but they are not.  Please do not respond to any such request, but do let me or a warden know if you receive one.
