Rosemary's Letter to Council
Dear Council Members,
The purpose of this note is to tender my resignation from playing the organ for regular church services as of June 30, 2017. I feel that my days for keeping the commitment must come to an end, and probably should have before this!
I have played church organs since 1945 with only a 5 year “break” while living in Calgary during the early 50’s, also about 9 or 10 months off after our 3rd son was born. At St. Peter’s we seem to have a lot of talented musicians who are much younger than I, so I don’t feel that I am leaving our Church-goers in a bind.
Whenever I have a request to play for a particular funeral or memorial service, I’ll do my best to oblige. Thank you so much for all the support I’ve received from clergy, choir directors and choir members over the past 70 years!!
